I am SO excited to announce that we will be partnering with Rebecca Page and Hey Penny Fabrics to bring you another amazing sewalong! As has been done in the past, it will be loosely structured sewalong. Participants can feel free, and are encouraged, to post in the Aus Sewing group as often as they like, using the hashtag #JUNESEWALONG so we can all keep track of everyone’s progress. Final garment pictures need to be submitted to the sew along album in the group for judging.

 

This month we will be celebrating the turn of the season by sewing up the stunning Circle Cardie from Rebecca Page. This pattern is such a quick, easy (and addictive) sew that results in a beautiful and cosy cardigan. It is perfect for fabric that drapes beautifully, and also the comfy, cosy fabrics, making it a truly dynamic garment. Timeline

This month, the sew along will follow the below timeline. Please note that this time is a loose structure for this sew along. Feel free to move at your own pace.

June 1-10:

The first ten days will be for hunting and gathering, purchasing the pattern, printing and taping it together, buying fabric (Hey Penny is great for this part, don’t forget to get the 10% off code from their Facebook group), getting everything sorted and ready to start sewing.

June 11-20:

SEW! SEW! SEW!
This is the time for you to construct your Cadie(s). During this period there will be a number of blog posts put up, breaking down some of the construction steps, offering hacks and variations and generally celebrating this beautiful pattern. If you have any questions, feel free to post them to the wall. Make sure that all of your finished garments are photographed and added into the sew along album for your chance to win!

June 21-25:

Now is the time to add all of your finishing touches to your cardie and pop your final photos into the group album. Please note that you can enter more than one cardigan. The more the merrier!!
The competition will close at 11:59pm on Monday 25 June. The winner will be selected by Rebecca Page and will be notified shortly after the competition closes.
