I am overjoyed to announce that we will be partnering with One Puddle Lane and Lush Fabrics Australia to bring you another great sewalong! As usual, it will be self paced sewalong. Participants can feel free to post in the group as often as they like, using the hashtag #MRTSEWALONG so we can all keep track. Final garment pictures need to be submitted to the album in the group for judging.
We are going to be using the Miss Ruby Tuesday dress pattern from One Puddle Lane (1PL). The Miss Ruby Tuesday is a fantastically versatile knit dress pattern. The basic pattern features boat, vee or scoop neckline options, a half circle skirt or peplum, and a gathered skirt or peplum. The add on pack takes this pattern to the next level, with a whopping 21 bodice options and 10 skirt options all up! One Puddle Lane will be having a storewide sale for the duration of our sewalong! You can grab any amazing 1pl pattern at thirty percent off, using the code KATE30.
I’m sure most of our members have heard the challenging news facing 1PL designer, Ann Martin. Proceeds from the sale of all patterns will go directly to helping Ann’s daughter, Kate, as she battles breast cancer. Australian Sewing Advice and Inspiration will be assisting Ann and Kate in anyway we can, and offer our sinscere condolences, and support. You can purchase the Miss Ruby Tuesday pattern here.
Lush Fabrics Australia have generously agreed to sponsor our sewalong! Lush have amazing knits, that are absolutely gorgeous to wear. Lush have even agreed to offer our members an amazing 10% discount on orders, with a code found in the Lush Facebook Group.
In addition, Lush Fabrics Australia will be offering a $100 voucher to the winner of the sewalong! But wait, there’s more! If the winner has used fabric from Lush, the voucher will increase to $150!
The sewalong will run from The 5th of February 2018, and will close at 11:59pm on the 28th of February 2018. Judging will commence on March first, and the winner will be announced and contacted shortly thereafter. The winner will will be chosen by Ann Martin.
Happy sewing! I can’t wait to see what we make!
